Integrating Human Rights, Leave no one Behind and Gender Equality into UN Cooperation Frameworks - United Nations Sustainable Development Group

The United Nations is an international Organization founded in 1945 with 51 nations and now has 193 member states.  Poverty eradication promoting gender equality and human rights, protecting the planet and ensuring peace and prosperity to all people are its objectives.  To promote and protect human rights, it has, the human rights based approach (HRBA) in its programs.  The Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) is a milestone document of the UN.  In 2015 the UN adopted 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) along with 169 targets for its mission 2030.  Actually it is a universal call to end poverty, protect the planet and to establish peace and prosperity to all.

The United Nations has presented its 2030 agenda with the objective of integrating human rights into sustainable development.  To achieve this a resilient society that has gender equality and women empowerment is inevitable.  The video that explains the agenda 2030 of the UN focuses its attention on six major components of it.  They are human rights based approach, leave no one behind, gender equality and women's empowerment, resilience, sustainability and accountability.  To attain the goals of 'Agenda 2030' these strategies and practices should be applied effectively in all the programs and its efficacy should be evaluated regularly.

All the plans and programs of Agenda 2030 should be based on international norms and standards.  Inequality and discrimination should be addressed from the start.  It should be known to all that the undocumented migrants, girls below the age of 18 and the persons with severe mental health conditions have human rights like all others. Gender based discrimination should be uprooted.  According to UN cooperation frame works only through empowering women, we can bring long lasting peace and sustainable development in the society by 2030.  Through its six major components, Agenda 2030 aims to end poverty, protect the planet and promote prosperity and peace for all.  So, no doubt, its emphasizing on the inclusivity and universal application will definitely build a better world for people and the planet.
